As former President Corazon Aquino continues her ordeal with colon cancer, her supporters likewise maintain their steadfast support and continue to pray for her recovery.
According to a TV report, Aquino’s supporters urged people to “tie a yellow ribbon” as a gesture of their support to the former chief executive, who has been confined at the Makati Medical Center for about a month now. This, according to them, would also serve as a reminder of Aquino’s role as an icon of democracy in the country.
“Rekindle the flame of democracy that Cory began. Tie a yellow ribbon today,” the report said, quoting a text message from a supporter. The former president was diagnosed with colon cancer in March 2008 and is currently under a 24-hour observation by doctors at the Makati Medical Center.
She was taken to the hospital last month due to loss of appetite.
A yellow ribbon can be tied in cars, trees, churches, bags, cell phones, wrist, headbands, eyeglasses, motorcycles, tricycles, jeepneys, buses, etc etc..
Yellow ribbon is a symbol of a peaceful and genuine democracy.

i tied the yellow ribbon in my blog…salamat sa pagbisita!
let us pray for her… nakakalungkot parang ano mang oras…. wag naman sana.
Ang ganda ng iyong site TSI. links ex?
Hay, sana bumuti kalagayan ni Cory.
Thanks Rommel sure add kita.
Not being negative here but prayers won’t make her well… No matter how much healing masses will be held for her, it won’t work!
Kung gusto nilang gumaling si Mrs. Aquino, they should go to their rooms, turn down the lights, and pray silently…
Even you guys, na nagpopost ng yellow ribbons sa blogs nila, that won’t work… Say silent prayers for her… No offense to anyone but as the bible says, prayers made in public won’t be answered…
On my part I posted this as my own decision, kung ano lang yung itinuro sa kin ng aking mga magulang which I believe na ang dasal really helps alot based on my experiences and as being a christian na matatag ang pananampalataya. Now on the other hand, politicians making kapalastikan, lol who cares, i’m just doin the easy part. May nagsabi ngang – “We live in a nation that allows the freedom to practice one’s own religion.” Thanks for poppin by kurog.
