Mara Clara 2010 – ABS-CBN revives hit soap

There are reports that ABS-CBN Channel 2 is planning to do a remake of their longest teleserye ‘Mara Clara’ television series which was popular back in the early 90’s.

Kathryn Bernardo, who played the young Jenny in GMA-7′s ‘Endless Love’ will be the one who will play the role of Mara which was played by Judy Ann Santos in the old days. Kathryn is also a former member of the now defunct “Goin Bulilit” show.

Julia Montes also became one of the members of Goin Bulilit and is known as Mara Motes. They decided to change her screen name to Julia so that no one could confuse it with Mara which will be played by Kathryn. Julia plays the role of Clara which was originally portrayed by Gladys Reyes.
