Who could’ve ever forgotten the first ever long-playing teleserye or would I say telenovela that made Judy Ann Santos a star?
Mara Clara was one drama series that made the 90s. It was the most watched tv series at that time which premiered last June 22, 1992 and ended last February 14, 1997.
Although the story, was just like any other teleserye we see these days, has a one in a million chance ever likely to happen, it was able to capture the filipinos because of our love for the rags to riches story.
The show gave names to a lot of the artistas we see today, such as Gladys Reyes and her husband, and who could forget the ka-loveteam of Juday & Wowie. LMAO. Can you guys remember the cast? There was even Mara Clara The Movie (shorter version) with the same characters.
According to ABS-CBN News, there are plans of putting back Mara Clara on television. Announced recently during the ABS-CBN Trade Launch last Wednesday. Rumors are now spreading who’s going to portray the twin character. The remake of Mara Clara chooses Maja Salvador or Kim Chiu, as Mara and Shaina Magdayao or Empress Schuck as Clara, that is according to rumors. How about their leading men? Pak!

Walt Disney Co introduced their latest online community, its called
World of Cars – a new online portal filled with games inspired by the 2006 hit movie “Cars” produced by Pixar Animation Studios. It was also build as a fan community for downloads, contests, polls, fan arts, etc.
World of Cars online virtual game allows users to create a car when they sign up and then interact with Cars characters Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater, and others while also interacting with fellow users and players online. One goal for the online community is to keep kids anticipating the release of Cars 2 in 2011 and the grand opening of Cars Land in Disney California Adventure in 2012.
