Walt Disney Co introduced their latest online community, its called World of Cars – a new online portal filled with games inspired by the 2006 hit movie “Cars” produced by Pixar Animation Studios. It was also build as a fan community for downloads, contests, polls, fan arts, etc.
World of Cars online virtual game allows users to create a car when they sign up and then interact with Cars characters Lightning McQueen, Tow Mater, and others while also interacting with fellow users and players online. One goal for the online community is to keep kids anticipating the release of Cars 2 in 2011 and the grand opening of Cars Land in Disney California Adventure in 2012.
